Festive Pairings for a Non-Alcoholic Xmas
Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays. Well, we’d argue that home isn’t really a place. It’s being with the ones you love, enjoying a time of togetherness and celebration.
Wherever you’re celebrating the holiday season, why not plan a menu that’s all about togetherness? With these festive non-alcoholic drink pairings, everyone can partake in the party.
5 Festive Non-Alcoholic Drink Pairings for Christmas
Santa Spritz Mocktail

When Santa makes his way down the chimney on Christmas Eve, greet him with a mocktail in his honor instead of the traditional milk he’s so used to. This Santa Spritz mocktail, courtesy of Nat at The Mindful Mocktail, is just three ingredients. (The holidays are just too busy a time to start trying to add master mixologist to your resumé.)
Start by adding ice to a spritz glass. Then, pour in one ounce of cranberry juice, two ounces of non-alcoholic aperitif, and four ounces of non-alcoholic sparkling wine, like BEAU VIVA.
From there, simply enjoy or dress up your drink with fresh cranberries, star anise, and rosemary.
Pairs Well With: Sharing apple and brie tarts and charcuterie boards aplenty as you celebrate your annual Secret Santa with your best friends
Cinnamon Hot Not Toddy

A Cinnamon Hot Toddy is a classic Christmas drink, but this recipe, courtesy of Katie at the Soberish Mom, asks you to swap out the fully alcoholized whiskey for a non-alcoholic variety.
First, start by making a cinnamon and clove syrup by combining one cup of maple syrup, one cup of water, four cinnamon sticks, one tablespoon of cloves, and the wedges from a peeled orange in a medium pot. Let it boil for five minutes before removing it from the heat and cooling for an hour.
When you’re ready to make your drink, simple pour half an ounce of the syrup, juice from half of a lemon, and two-and-a-half ounces of zero-proof whiskey into a mug. Fill the mug with boiling water and garnish with lemon wedges and cinnamon sticks.
Pairs Well With: Coming out from the cold after a snowball fight with your cousins and finding a hot slice of apple pie waiting for you
Maple Whiskey Fizz Mocktail
This Maple Whiskey Fizz mocktail, courtesy of Tori at Mocktail Girlie, shares some similarities with the Cinnamon Hot Not Toddy, but it provides something a little different.
Grab your shaker and start with juice from half of a lemon, three ounces of orange juice, one ounce of maple syrup, four ounces of zero-proof whiskey, and one or two dashes of orange bitters. Shake and pour into two ice-filled glasses. Then, top it off with non-alcoholic sparkling wine, like BEAU VIVA’s zero-proof rosé.
Pairs Well With: Snuggling up for date night while watching “Home Alone” and munching on gingerbread cookies
Jack Frost Mocktail

Your kids will never believe that this drink has health benefits. All they’ll care about is that it’s blue and delicious!
This Jack Frost mocktail, also courtesy of Nat at The Mindful Mocktail, contains spirulina, which is packed with antioxidants. It also comes together in seconds. Simply put three ounces of unsweetened pineapple juice, a quarter of a teaspoon of blue spirulina, two tablespoons of vanilla coconut yogurt, and one ounce of coconut milk into a shaker. Shake it up, and pour the mixture into coupe glasses.
For even more fun that’s sure to please the little ones this Christmas, garnish with white edible glitter or snowflake sprinkles.
Pairs Well With: Snacking on sugar cookies when Grandma’s not looking
Apple Cranberry Ginger Splash

This cranberry, apple, and ginger mocktail, courtesy of Tori at Mocktail Girlie, brings together tons of classic holiday flavors and creates a light, refreshing mocktail that’s sure to make you feel a little lighter yourself after your tenth gingerbread cookie. The holidays are all about balance, after all.
Start by making a cranberry simple syrup. Boil one cup of water, one cup of sugar, and half a cup of cranberries. Then, turn it down to a simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the cranberries are all popped and the sugar is dissolved. Let it cool before using it in your drink.
When it’s completely cool, add ice, two ounces of your syrup, one ounce of apple cider, juice from half of a lime, and a can of ginger beer to a glass or mug. Top it off with apple slices, cranberries, and mint. For a unique spin, swap out the ginger beer for a sparkling non-alcoholic wine, like BEAU VIVA.
Pairs Well With: Convincing yourself to join your best friends for a Christmas morning yoga class (and then indulging in a slice of pumpkin pie after)
